Stamperia is a BOX
trademark, the “idea box” born in 1986 in a via Nizza, Turin, basement.

From 1986 to 1994 Box created decorative papers for covering entire collections of objects and accessories for the desktop and gifts.
The collections were a great success and within a few years became the preferred choice of clients all over the world.
From Italy to America and as far as Japan, Box papers were highly appreciated and also, unfortunately, copied for a wide variety of uses.

Stamperia was born in 1994 as the trademark identifying the do-it-yourself sector within Box, debuting with the first Italian collection of decorative rubbers stamps and accessories.
Almost immediately the rubber stamps were flanked by stencils – the great collection entitled “Mascherissime della Stamperia”.

As can easily be deduced, the step from decorative papers to decoupage is a short one: in just a few years Stamperia turned out hundreds of subjects and experimented with a wide variety of paper to print on – from ordinary packaging paper to refined silk-screened rice paper.
